Fourteen riders explored the unpaved/gravel roads on September 19, 2020 and had a ton of fun. We broke up into three groups and explored the areas west of Haymarket between Rt 55 and Snickersville Turnpike. The route has been selected using the VDOT Unpaved Roads web site.

One group missed a turn and found a water crossing. Check out the YouTube videos.
After hearing of the fun the one group had, several others went back to find the crossing and get wet.
Here is the route track and info about the Flight 93 ride that the club took in July. We found some great twisty roads in Virginia and Maryland.
Just because the virus canceled our rally does not mean that we cannot sit around a camp fire, drink beer, and tell tall tales. I will host a virtual Tiki Bar on Facebook Messenger Friday and Saturday night at 9:00 pm. The link is https://msngr.com/Js2j2ehrha9ntnCK
We can talk about anything and moan about the great rallies that goes canceled. We can talk about the Fort Valley ride on the June 14. It filled up so quickly that we had to add more spots.
Henry, Daria, Arnab, and Bruce met in Clifton. The Clifton Cafe was serving crepes and espresso for carry-out. We wore our masks and kept our distance in the parking lot while we ate. We met two other riders who asked to join but said they needed to get gas first. I don't know where they went to get it but after a half-hour, we guessed they got lost.
By Executive Order, "Planned large gatherings and events must be canceled or postponed until after termination of the state of emergency and the proclamation of the catastrophic health emergency has been rescinded."

Virginia is rich in history starting from our Colonial beginnings, war for independence, Civil War to present day. Did you also know that eight presidents were born in Virginia; three just East of Fredericksburg, two SE of Richmond and three in the vicinity of Charlottesville.
Below is the list of Presidents and their birthplaces grouped into two parts. Part 1 is April 18 and Part 2 is May16.

With the YMCA deposit pending, we need to figure out a plan. Let's discuss. Please see the Rally Planning forum for information about an online meeting to talk about our next move for the June 5-7 rally.

The club upgraded its GS-911 to the latest model. It fits the new OBD connector on the 2020 models with an adapter for the round ten-pin connector that most of us have. Any member can borrow it for diagnosing faults or just resetting that darn service reminder.
