Club member Jim Hopkins and his wife welcomed club members to a tour of his private collection.
Here is an old club flag. What year was that logo?
Refreshments were served between the Beemers.
Even the mannequins were cool and collectible. This lady models vintage ladies' riding apparel.
These two sidecars are what Jim likes to ride. New and old.
Jim describes the 1921 BMW engine in front of some of the art commissioned for this museum.
This bronze is a bust of a famous racer that once graced an oil company's corporate building. Somehow it got to America so that Jim could buy it.
Jim talks about getting famous racers and designers to sell or donate ideas for his collection. I was particularly impressed by Han Muth's drawings of the R100RS. The original sketches!
A motley crew of admirers standing around a land speed record holding S1000RR. What a great collection!
Jim promised to host the club again this summer. If you missed this visit, keep an eye on the calendar.
