The exception it the Dulles Greenway!

The Dulles Toll Road from the beltway to Dulles and the Greenway from Dulles to Leesburg are not Express Lanes. Express Lanes are always free for HOV but the toll roads are not. The Express Lanes are on the Virginia Beltway, I-395, I-95 in Virginia, and I-66 inside the beltway during rush hours.

There is an I-95 Express Lane north of Baltimore but I think it is not free for HOV.

All this is confusing. If you have an E-ZPass on your motorcycle, make sure the transponder is registered in the motorcycle class. I think that is class 136. Class 72 is a regular car. Motorcycle class 136 is always free in an Express Lane but you will still pay on a toll road.

I think the Tappan Zee bridge has a lower toll for motorcycles but I do not know of any other motorcycle discounts.

Every lane seemed like the Hot Lane for a while there. Getting back to normal now.

The other exception is MD - HOT lanes are a coming. As far as I know, not motorcycle friendly.

Oh no. I thought they would be HOT lanes (High Occupancy or Toll) instead of just toll lanes. If they are free for HOV, they Maryland is supposed to include motorcycles too. Politicians would uphold their obligation and defend their constituents' rights, wouldn't they?
