State Insurance Requirements

The following numbers, in thousands, (XX/XX/XX) work such as the following from left to right

DC
minimum limits for insurance are (25/50/5)
no provisions for no-fault reparations
Special Rule for Motorcycle Owners:
“In D.C., an insurance company is not required to offer UIM coverage to motorcycle owners. However, Washington, D.C. requires all registered vehicles to be insured to cover against damage caused (liability insurance at the $25,000/$50,000/$10,000 limits) and against damage incurred by uninsured motorists (must have uninsured and underinsured motorists insurance coverage at the limits of $25,000/$50,000/$5,000)” (edgarsnyder.com).

MD
minimum limits for insurance are (30/60/15)
no-fault add-on. no limitation on tort rights. All registered motorcycles may be exuded from coverage.
Special Rule for Motorcycle Owners:
“Insurance companies are not required to offer lost income benefits under a personal injury protection plan to motorcycle owners. If offered, however, the insurance company can require a deductible, options, or specific exlusions” (edgarsnyder.com).

no provision for no-fault reparations
Insurance or $500 uninsured motor vehicle fee required
