MD: Laytonsville-Damascus area

[Mark II]

This is a nice, mostly rural route. Gentle turns, nice farmland views with almost no stops on Sundown rd. and rt. 650. Generally takes 30-45 minutes at speed limit.

If you're coming from I-270 take the Germantown exit for Rt. 27 east or north. Cross 355 and take a right on Brink Rd. (2nd light after 355, just before the water tower). This will become Sundown rd. Stay on this until you reach Rt. 650 Damascus Rd. Turn left and it becomes Rt. 108 and will take you straight into Damascus. Once there, you can pick up Rt. 27 again, either north to Mr. Airy or south back to where you started.

Thats a good area. Lots of nice roads.
