During the 10,000K service, while replacing the center body panel after inspecting the air filter, I went to replace the center front screw when I fumbled it and it dropped into nowhere. I didn’t hear it hit the floor and upon inspecting the jumble of wires behind the steering head, it was nowhere to be found. I turned the front wheel to the left and right making sure it did not get caught up in any moving parts (I did not want the steering to inadvertently lock up on me while riding). After several more minutes of rechecking the floor and checking the bike I resigned myself to havIng one missing screw.
But I couldn’t let it go. I knew the screw was caught up somewhere behind the steering head and wanted to find it. Searching through Amazon I found a well rated Endoscope and ordered it. Got it today and after setting up the app I went on the hunt.
Found it just below the area where I fumbled it. Now I need to see if I can retrieve it with the magnetic attachment for the Endoscope.
