I can't say I'm a big birder, but do enjoy getting out in nature with my camera.
I scored a life-list superstar last week in Great Falls Park when I saw a painted bunting flitting in the bushes near my favorite shooting/contemplating spot. This rare beast was easy to find - there were 20 or 30 homo sapiens with telephoto lenses who pointed me right at him
