There is the VA Road Side Clean Up on March 24th, Tech Day scheduled for March 31st and Morton’s Open House is April 14, - Volunteers are needed for this one.
She has scheduled the April meeting at Battley’s at 11 AM; May’s meeting will be held at Jed Hargrave’s farm on the first weekend in May; no meeting in June; and July’s meeting will be held on Saturday the twenty-first at Bob’s BMW, where the club will host a “Show ‘n Shine”.
Tech Committee Meeting – A tech session is set for March 31 at Open Road Outfitters, 45763 Elmwood Court, Unit 160, Sterling, VA. Ray will be bringing his tire changer and there will be lifts there to help with the bikes. He has a tech day scheduled for June 23rd and he needs someone to host it.
Rides – Ed Phelps was unable to be there but Pam Fisher brought numbers for the QIT2 contest and passed them out to people that needed them.
Website – Chris Uttenweiler mentioned the new design and layout of the web-site, the appearance and features such as “Garage” which will include maintenance, modifications and farkles and a buyer’s section. We are going with PayPal for renewals and we will also be able to see GPS tracks and routes.
Amendments to the Bylaws – Mike passed out the by-law changes – some of the changes include: Secretary position is to publish the minutes, Tech Committee’s description is back in the by-laws, Elections Committee will be appointed by March, and Elections changes. We will vote on the changes at the April meeting.
Slide Show for 2007 – Ray Sufzynski is collecting pictures for the Christmas party again this year. Please send your pictures from rides or events to Ray.
Square Route Rally – Jim Bade is looking for volunteers at the rally and during a weekend in May for the Clean up. If you can volunteer, please contact him or Tina Fraembs. There will be a band on Saturday night and Nancy Oswald will be organizing a scavenger hunt for the first 33 people.
A Word from Morton’s – Steve Anderson announced that Morton’s and Team Performance are combining their efforts to offer 3 Track Days. You must register through Stuart at Morton’s, you must have zip together gear and hard protectors. The 3 dates will be April 23, June 11 and Oct. 1. The April and October days will be at the VIR track in Danville and the June day will be at Summit Point. N8! will also be available at all 3 track days. The cost is $225 and includes pre-track school, lunch and a special gift from Morton’s.
Steve also gave a presentation from his trip to Mexico. It was very interesting and several people from the trip were available for questions and comments after the meeting.
Tina Fraembs announced that several members were getting together to go see Wild Hogs after the meeting – everyone was welcomed to join them.
