Luftmiester Saddle Tank Question

Postby vecchio lupo » Fri Feb 13, 2015 12:48 am

Hello Boys,

I was going to wait til I finished my R100RS resto to fit and use my Luftmiester aux saddle tanks. Now I'm thinking I want to fit them to my R100R in the interim. I've read what I can find on venting and fitting but as yet I can't find a diagram or even a sketch of the "Plumbing" .

So if anybody has an illustration or can point me to a schematic, I would appreciate it very much. By the way, when I say resto, I really mean clean up and refurbish to preserve the original paint and patina. It's a 1984 last Edition (of the twin shock) RS in pearl white and Motorsport stripes and badges.
If you wait or put off doing something, the only thing that happens is you get older.

No illustrations, but I'd really love to see some pictures of the job in progress!

Pics of the saddle tank fit or the R100RS tear down and refit?

The tank. I'm wondering if they plumb to the main tank, or just tee into the fuel lines fown to the carbs.
