But, perhaps I'm being the stereotypical "uptight BMW owner" who thinks all that data belongs to *me*, not BMW Motorrad. Everything appears normal, all sensors functioning, no fault codes, and I did reset the stepper motors.
I can see where it would be handy to reset those annoying service reminders when doing periodic maintenance at a club tech day. Bravo to the club for purchasing the unit and laptop.
I got a chance to use two different ones in the last two weeks.. I'd say money well spent.
It showed all of the faults my bike has thrown in the last 12 - 24 months, Low Voltage, ABS Sensor.. and a few others I don't recall. CLeared all the faults, but I still got the ABS fault light. Got that all cleared up.
I'm not sure if you and I are talking about the same thing, but I did see one step in there about calibrating the idle controllers (? if I remember right).. I did it, and man, what a difference. I rode my bike in the next morning, and when I slowed down in the parking lot, it was SMooOOOoooOTH.. I rode around the parking lot about 10 minutes before I parked the bike, I jsut couldn't believe it.
Also Calibrated the ESA, and even the windshield..
