Sure sorry to hear of your "Intersection Difficulties," Dave! Been there on my Silver LT! Hope you're both able to mend quickly (w/no significant surgeries). [-o<

We stopped for the night in South Williamsport. Left there in the rain on Monday and encountered multiple showers down to Harrisburg (where we enjoyed a nice warm lunch at the Appalachian Brewing Co)

. Finally took off our rain gear at the I-95 Rest Stop near Bob's BMW.

GET WELL SOON!

We had a wonderful time and I really appreciate everybody's warm welcome to Lisa, who's assured me she won't be getting a bike...keep at it ladies...I'll keep bringing her to events...
I'm so sorry to hear about Big Dave- that could have been so much worse, I'm glad you're ok-ish....

We rode part of the way home with Tom and Sheryl. We stopped for lunch somewhere along the way north of Harrisburg. We had been riding in the rain on and off... When we got to Shomkin Dam, I think it's called, we veered off to the other side of the river as the traffic was really jacked up. We came south on 147 - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this road! Awesome riding on the east side of the river, cool towns. We stopped one more time south of York for some coffee and pushed home in some pretty hard rain.

All in all a fantastic weekend! Great to see everybody!
Smooth throttle and spirited twisties!

Dave, glad to hear your injuries are not worse. Scary situation. Glad the kid did the right thing.

Dave:
So sorry to hear about your accident. Really scary stuff. I am glad you were wearing boots and not sneakers! Get well soon buddy! I really enjoyed the time we spent together.

Anyone forget the ratchet strap?

Postby sati8d » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:45 pm

We found on the ground a ratchet to a ratchet strap - looks like someone was using it as a kickstand base in the grass - might of been John's RT or Jody's GS...
If it's yours let me know - we have it.

Tony, that was my improvisational sidestand "foot" -- it was already there on the ground, lost or forgotten by someone before the rally. It's a sturdy piece and I'm grateful to it for keeping my RT upright, but you may have it. Thanks for thinking about us, and for policing the site! :D

How is Dave doing? How is the bike?

Sorry to hear this, and I hope everything is OK - please give us an update Dave!

Well, Dave is healing slowly, the skinned shin hurts the most, the leg and foot are still swollen. Bob's looked at the bike on Friday and found $3300.00 of damage. State Farm is looking at the bike on Thursday.

If you going to join any rally or race then you need to wear all of the safety equipment like a jacket, helmet, gloves, earplugs, and boots. All are the safety equipment they will help us to protect from any issues. Like an earplug will help us to protect hearing, the helmet will help us to save a life and so on. So riding equipment is important to us.
Hearing protection is another part of safety because if we do not wear any hearing protection then we will suffer from the hearing damage and it will cause of tinnitus problem.

Please visit the following websites and know more information regarding hearing protection.

Who from BMWBMW is going this year for the 45th FLR? Will BMWBMW have a bunk house (w/space for me)? Yes the Slider is planning an appearance, be afraid, very afraid!
