Awesome - might get a little wet, but at least it won't be 110 degrees there!!

Very tempting. I rode to Redmond in 2010 and turned it into a 25-day coast-to-coast extravaganza.

I used to live 20 miles from there. Lots of great roads, and that time of year nice weather.

It sounds like a long time, but it went by in a flash--only a couple of "death march" days of 800+ miles (mostly in the Midwest). It's really "only" three weeks of vacation, plus a weekend on each end. :)

I agree with all......this could be an awesome venue next year. I've already put in for my vacation time!! Some of the local attractions that come to mind.......
* Pinot winery tours
* Evergreen Air/Aerospace museum - new home to the Spruce Goose (http://www.evergreenmuseum.org/the-muse ... uce-goose/)
* Newport

Just got back from a "Coast to Coast" yesterday. Part of which included Oregon.

We went to Redmond in 2010, we will do Salem too. Some went to see the Spruce Goose...

Take about 2 weeks to do the whole ride with MOA in the middle and it is a nice vacation. Then it is not 3 weeks off. Also, make sure to include 191 in Utah/Wyoming at the Flaming River reservoir. One of the 10 best roads in the country for sure and it is on the way...

Now that is a great location, not Lima or Sedalia!
