Morton's BMW 2012 Spring Fling Rally

Heard of an Event of Interest to BMWBMW Members?

What a blast. I know I'm not quite as connected into the club as many are, but it was nice to see some familiar faces. I loved hearing all the reactions to the event. The only negative thing I heard was from a Harley rider who couldn't follow directions with regard to beer. Everything else was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to all who showed up.

Well, the thing with elephants is that much like cats, they are only visible when you look at them. So the elephant may have chosen to only appear to you, forsaking the rest of us its splendor. They are like that. Or it could be that it was actually a giraffe pretending to be an elephant. Or a zebra pretending to be a giraffe pretending to be an elephant. Or it could have been an elephant. Who knows. What's important is that the elephant was real for you, and should be accepted as the beautiful encounter it was. Unless it was a giraffe.

But always remember, anything not pertaining to the elephant, is irr-elephant.

Wow, I thought all HD riders had built-in beer homing devices. Who knew!

It was a lovely riding weekend. Potts Mountain to Paint Head, Swinging Bridge & white buffalo sammich, the opportunity to ride through areas I knew 40 years ago. The food is better.

Hi, @Cliffy109. I received no "directions", just attitude and disrespect. Suggest you snarks practice communication skills between now and your next rally.

At the risk of incriminating myself. Greg DOES have some great pants. It's unusual to find a combo of pants (any gear really) that look good, fit well, and look good on you. :purdy: I surprised myself. :emb: .

I never heard it before either, but everybody I know is sure going to be hearing it a lot from this point forward :D

Sorry to break up the wildlife program  but I wanted to give those who came to the rally a heads up. I'll be sending out an online survey today or tomorrow to find out what you liked and didn't like for 2012. Your feedback will help us make 2013 even better than this year, so please complete the survey as soon as you can. And, once again, thanks to everyone for coming, we had a blast! :D

Speaking of attitude and disrespect...

Cliffy109 referenced a Harley rider. Since the bike in your avatar photo is clearly not a Harley and you didn't ride one to the rally, because I remember seeing your bike (a BMW) at the Brats n Brews, how are you making the leap to think that Cliffy is talking about you?

If you had a bad experience, that is unfortunate but responding by posting an insulting comment serves no purpose. No one on this board is bashing you.
