Morton's BMW Off-Road Training

Postby stevebmw on Thu Apr 26, 2012 6:46 pm

We've scheduled our 2012 off-road training day for Monday, June 18. We'll be doing the training with our own folks this time, and you can see all the info here:

http://tinyurl.com/gs-training-2012

All brands of street-legal (we'll be riding from Morton's BMW to the family farm) GS-style bikes are welcome. Whether you trained with us last time or not, you're welcome to come and learn. We'll have basic lessons for those who are new to this or needing a refresher, and we'll also have some more advanced lessons for those with a bit more experience.

We had a blast last time and this should be even better!

Well, y'all have already done some pretty serious training already, so I don't know that we could teach you very much. Have fun out in the mountains and kick up some dirt while you're out there! :D

I don't think that one can get too much training - I think I can use some more...

Thank you for setting this up Steve! I registered and paid - looking forward to it!

Steve, can you recommend a hotel or two in the area of Morton's? I foresee that a Monday morning commute, needing to be in F'Burg at 9am, might suck.

Then again, you could set up campground at the farm and pocket the cash. Jeff won't notice a thing.

There's a Country Inn and Suites that's literally 3 minutes (maybe) from Morton's. I stayed there in December and recommend it. Rooms are clean and the pillows are awesome. Plus, they have fresh-baked cookies in the lobby!

That's an interesting idea... :D

In the meantime, we usually put people up at the Hampton Inn when they're doing presentations at the store:

With Steve covering the room at the Hampton, it's an unbelievable deal! I just registered. Maybe we can organize a meandering Sunday ride to Morton's.

You guys are pretty funny... :D

Maybe we could have a RTE Sunday evening in Fredericksburg for those coming to the class? Just a thought. If there's interest, I can figure out a place to go.

Well this is coming together nicely.
We have a while to plan but the idea of meeting for a ride down on Sunday (leave somewhere in noon-2ish window) then a RTE destination after checkin - I LIKE IT. =D>
