Time to pull the headers of a R1200RT

Postby sundaeman on Wed Feb 29, 2012 6:09 pm

Anyone have an idea about how long it should take considering I've never pulled them off before?

Secret tricks?

Thanks.

Add some penetrating oil to the clamp bolt on the muffler. Other than that it is pretty easy, and should only take an hour or less to remove.

I'll take pics. Already got before ones. Afters will be easy. It was about 160-170 plus shipping. Probably won't do it until the end of April now. Waaay too much going on.

Who (are the "Jet Hot guys") and why are you doing this? No I'm not being a smart ass. It's just in my limited experience, I've never heard of this. A full explanation wouldn't hurt. I'd be ever so much wiser! :D

The problem is not high-performance motorcycles. It's low-performance riders...

These are the Jet Hot guys... http://www.jet-hot.com/ and I'm kinda getting tired of the brown look on the headers.
