Thanks.

I would prefer that this thread stay MOA focused. The other thread was more about a "party" bus (for lack of a better term) going to or being at the MOA. My preference is once the final decision of what is going or who is driving what or where it's going to be parked - be posted on the MOA thread.

More or less to keep this thread with "Factual" information.

I hope that makes sense. I think this should be an informative thread instead a discussion thread.

If you're looking for a hotel at the MOA rally, it looks like all the ones in Sedalia are full. Either that, or they're cancelling people's reservations at their normal rate and then offering the rooms again at more than twice the price (as per the MOA forum conversation). I was able to find a Super 8 in Marshall, about 18 miles north of the rally site, in the $60-$70 range. I'm not sure I'm going yet, but I figured I'd snare a room while I can. The community college in Sedalia doesn't look too promising for accommodations.

I have the feeling that Sedalia MO will be in competition with Lima OH for the "most interesting" MOA rally site.

Having lived in Lima, that's not exactly a positive spin on the MOA's chosen locale :)

I think that's definitely his point! Lima was AWFUL!!!! Sedalia will make Bloomsburg feel COLD!

I'm trying to come up with an alternative for that week. Maybe we can do a club thing in NC mountains?

The weather in Bloomsburg was a bad coincidence, but it had some nice roads to get there and ride around.

Now this sounds interesting. What about a gathering at the Iron Horse Lodge and Campground (http://ironhorsenc.com/)? I've been there numerous times for Horizons Unlimited meetings. The cabin rooms are a little pricey, but they have a bunkhouse and camping, too. Very nice place, about a half hour from Deal's Gap, etc.

I'd be up for at stay at Iron Horse...I have absolutely no interest at all in heading to MO for the rally.

While I agree that the weather was a bad coincidence, if I remember right, that weather is the "NORM" for Sedalia at that time of year.
