Ideas, Plans and Volunteers for the 2012 Square Route Rally

Mark your Calendars: June 1-3, 2012

Postby ERC Scott on Fri Dec 30, 2011 10:39 am

June 1st thru 3rd is our 38th Annual Square Route Rally. So block the calendar, ask your boss for time off, and start making plans to join us in Thurmont!
We have a long-standing record of conducting remarkable rallies, and it happens because of people like you...helping with setup, selling beer, leading rides, conducting seminars, tidying up, and offering your great ideas. We already have a few ideas to run past the board, so don't be shy in offering yours. Watch this space for updates. Scott

I know it's way early but what's the process to sign up as a volunteer? Never been to this rally so don't know what's the great, good and mediocare jobs to sign up for - suggestions? Thanx....

If you plan to be at the club mtg this weekend, I can fill you in on possibilities. Plenty of openings, and I think all can be fun. Scott

Can't make it to Morton's this weekend, but I'd like to volunteer in the same manner as I did last year. My work schedule is pretty uncertain so I don't want to volunteer for something I might have to back out of. Last year I did registration and sales on Friday afternoon and evening, then went on the GS ride Saturday. I'd like to put my name in the hat for the same thing this year. E-mail is djmuir22152@yahoo.com.

It's a little known fact that Potty Patrol is the best job at the rally. It isn't difficult and there's no defined schedule that you have to meet. Simply cruise through on a semi-regular basis and attend to business.

My kind of job! As much as I drink I could do that on accident! :flask:
