What's the BMW warranty period these days? Does it differ with different models? Or same for all?

Nope, still lasts about 3-4 weeks for you.

R1200RTPs (2006+) are 39 Months / 60k whichever comes 1st.
Not sure about the new GSPs.

2005 R1150RTPs and GSPs had unlimited mileage but 36 or 39 months. Not sure about the earlier years.

Maybe. But since we were talking about a 650GS in California, purchased in Utah, irrelevant

BMW had 3 years/unlimited mileage to some point in 1990s. On my '86 K75 I filed a warranty claim at over 100.000 miles and was processed no hitch. I framed the paper work and put it on the wall at Rockville Harley Davidson (now Battley Cycles). Some people blamed me that BMW stopped the unlimited mileage warranty.
