Good luck with that!
And to OP, congrats on the new ride. I've always been partial to yellow & orange bikes. (And yet both of my bikes are white???)

As promised, here are a few more pictures. I still can't believe how smooth this bike is compared to my R1100! :D

That's a really nice-looking bike. Good find!

Do not ride an R1200GS with the DOHC motor :P . If you do you will want to trade both of your R11xx in.

I see you have street tires on there ... a very enlightened decision :) (I guess we can credit that to the PO, but you'll enjoy them)

I miss the crossbar on the R12GS... it just looks so cool!

That's interesting, Wes. I wouldn't have picked the street tires myself, but the previous owner had them installed less than 200 miles ago. I'm going to keep an open mind about them. From the short ride I did on Wednesday morning, I like them!

JVB has mentioned something similar to this to me before.

During the bike search, I was tempted to head to one of the dealerships and take a test ride. (I actually stopped by Morton's on Columbus Day (a Monday) as I was in the area and thought maybe they'd be open.)

I knew that if were to test ride a R1200GS or F800GS, I would inevitably buy one! I'm glad I stayed away!

For as little off-roading as I do, street tires are the way to go - I've got a set waiting to go on my bike as we speak. They're a lot quieter than traditional dual-sport tires, too - especially at high speeds :D
