Inexpensive Helmet Cam

I have two gopro 5mp wide. Comes with tons of mounting options. Use them on my car and bike. I think they are a great deal for $160 per.

I was at Costco the other night and they had a GoPro there. I know it wasn't the HD model, and it seemed kind of inexpensive, but I think I'd have to go with the HD model; it's not too much more.

+1 on the GoPro HD...

I had numerous comments when i mounted it for my most recent trip... was still a bit miffed at the shot controls... wanted 30 second timers, ended up with shots every 5 secs... photo library looks like a Michael Gondry film...

Drift Innovations' cameras get high marks on AdvRider. A significant advantage over the GoPro is the LCD viewscreen so that you actually test that your mounting position gives you a decent POV and review (and delete) your vids right on the camera without having to go back and forth to a computer to see if you actually filmed anything. Also gets high marks for a nice intuitive menu system. The non HD version runs about $150 and the HD version is around $320. I just bought the latter a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier.

I was able to get a VIO POV for about half price on Craigslist. A guy in Colorado had it. I monitored craigslist and ebay weekly for about a year until I found one at a decent price.
