Great time. Long lunch was a nice respite. We should do more rides. Is that in the survey?

Sorry I couldn't stay for the lunch since I had some domestic duties to attend to, but I like the idea of post meeting rides and hope we have more in the future.

...if we can plan some club rides a little further west in Virginia,
like Sperryville (or Town & Country like you mentioned), and
then up into MD (Westminster maybe), I always like planning
a ride and know tons of roads pretty much everywhere!!!

Ditto's like everyone else. Great idea for the ride to meeting and Elsie's ride after. If it helps, I had a couple of routes from the Town & Country Restaurant that wound up in Harpers Ferry when we had some poker runs. More is better.

Now for the public service announcement:

Owner of the vintage GS that was between Elsie and me leaving Shepherdstown... check your taillight. It was lighting up when you were braking, but it looked like it was dead otherwise.

I remember reading a post from someone (maybe Rocketman) about how they put a switch on their airhead to turn the tailight off during the day so their is more of a contrast between the brake light going on and off. Could have been that person.

Sorry we missed y'all, but the Missus had BRC...

When we were pulling into the neighborhood, 4 of y'all passed us. We were "in" our BMW (car) vice "on" the other one (bike).

Leader had a High Vis jacket, 4 bikes total, last one a blue older K100 or K1100 on Rte 50, mile or so before the WV/VA state line...

Hope y'all enjoyed our "stomping grounds"! Feel free to stop by sometime...

Oh, sorry 'bout that. We have talked about her attending the class a bunch over the past 2 years, but she was always nervous and said no...

So, for her birthday this year, I enrolled her and did not tell her until the afternoon of the class (thus eliminating her ability to say no and so she would not think about it too much before class started).

She had never piloted a bike before. She is also Japanese, so her English is not native.

Passed the wrttien and riding, first time!!!

WOO HOO!! Now she is practicing with the Blast...

*I think the Rallies we have been to this year, including going to the MOA helped her to see that there are many motorcycle riders that are female, bolstering her*
