Technically, we don't have a demo of the F 800 ST right now, but we can make one available for you to try. Actually, we'd be happy to do that any day we're open, no need to wait for the open house.

Tanks! the power and weight are big pluses compared to the Honda, the looks aren't quite there (for me) but with bags on it it comes a lot closer. I just have problems with all that space between the tire and seat, go figure. Guess its just that I'm a crusty old fart who's stuck in the 70's! Ha Ha!

Check out George's solution to that! He lowered the rear of the bags and it looks great!

I never would have guessed

When you have the bags on it, you don't really see the gap that much, and when you're riding it, you won't see it at all :D

yeah but I'd Know it was there! and what if a bag fell off?? Oh! The shame of being exposed! Ha Ha!

Seriously though its getting real close but can I wait for the LT to sell or not (to cover the differance in price between the two) and am I anal enough to ride a New BMW??? I mean having to change the oil ON TIME 'n stuff??? Is that even doable for me??? (the fact that I'm cheap enough to ride a (New) one goes without saying!) Ha Ha!

Weather was looking a little dicey here in Western Maryland, but I think it's going to clear just in time. Besides, I want a test drive on that Superbike. =P~ Hope to see some old friends (in as much as I can't get any of you to come up my way anymore).

When I did the research I compared the Honda VFR and Kawasaky Versys and the F800 ST was the better one for me. The handling of the F800 on the twisties is a lot, a lot of fun. I am extremely happy with this bike :D .

I think it also comes down to the bike size as it fits me like a glove. Good luck.

It was a good day despite the hiccups with the tent. We set up the table and handed out newsletters to a few people. I think we got one prospective member out of the day. Yellowjacket, Rocket Man, endofbobs, kjackson, streetdoc and a few others stopped by.

Best part of the day was demoing the S1000RR. All I can say is it is a powerful bike!

Here are a few pics from Morton's yesterday. BTW-For anybody interested, Skyline Drive has a tax amnesty deal through April 25th-no admission. I rode 30 miles of it yesterday between Front Royal to 211 on my way to Fredericksburg. Amazingly, few people were taking advantage of the beautiful day and the free pass.

ImageImage Is it my turn yet???Image Lots of bikes-almost like a small rally.Image A morning solo on Skyline Drive was reason enough to make the ride down.

It's not just Skyline. All national parks are free this week to celebrate National Parks Week.

Actually, not that small a rally, if I can brag a bit. We handed out more than 600 free lunches, and we estimate the total crowd at 700+ attendees. Not a record for us, but a bit higher than the last year or so. I'll be putting up some photos on our website later this week, but here's a shot from one section of the parking lot:

We were thrilled with the turnout and with the business we did yesterday -- thanks to everyone for coming! It was very cool seeing some folks who hadn't visited in a while, and there were many, many new faces. We're happy to have all of you at our place for the party, and we hope we'll see you again this fall for Oktoberfest :D
