I'm interested in going up there again, but was looking at adding "Back, Texas" to the route... that would truly be a "Hell and Back" trip....

Google maps sez Back, from Hell, is only another 1200 miles.

I was almost there, last Summer. If only I had known. I turned north at Shamrock and had a ferocious cross wind. The few trees there were had a definite permanent lean.

So what about the rest of us? What do you all want to do with/on your bikes next year? Let's post a time capsule here and then we can re-visit in 12 months and see how things worked out. whatchagot?

I plan on heading down to NW South Carolina for a long weekends in late April and late October with some of the BMWSporttouring folks and then will take most of July to head out west. Will see friends in Reno, San Francisco, Seattle and attend the BMWST UnRally in the High Sierra's and possibly stop at the MOA Rally. Plan on going through at least 3 sets of tires and hope to have thousands of smiles!

My brother and I were talking about riding to Florida, but I don't know if that's going to happen. I'm going to try to get back to Mid-Ohio for the Indy Car races and maybe make a bourbon run to Kentucky. Linda and I are planning our now annual anniversary ride. We went ot Shepherdstown, WV two years ago and Thurmont last year. This year's destination will be Gettysburg.

Current plans: Third weekend of April, heading to southwestern NC for a long weekend of avoiding Deals gap, and attacking all of the other great roads that area has to offer.

Third weekend of May, going somewhere in Tenessee for attacking those roads too.

The rest of my season is open at this point.

I'm headed to some Greece islands in late April/early May for a trip with some friends from college. It's not a motorcycling trip, but I will be renting scooters and abusing the hell out of them!

As for real motorcycle trips, I'd like to make a summertime dash through Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec, and on the way back visit a friend in Brooklyn, but I have yet to plan this trip at all. Something like this:

U.S.A. & Canada now that I'm back CONUS. I missed this continent! Oh sure Europe & North Africa are..well different, but there is no place like home!
