I always held off doing it on the GS because I felt it wasn't worth the effort, but the rash of IBAs recently has inspired me. Once I get the Corbin broken in, I plan on doing it on the Triumph, just to make it a little more challenging. The Scrambler has a 120 mile range to reserve, and a tiny fly screen. Should be interesting!

What do you mean by "wasn't worth the effort?" because it's too easy or because it's too hard?
Well, first, lots of people have done it on a GS, nothing special about it there, and second, I have done 800 mile days easily on the GS, so 1000 is not a big stretch. I just never felt the need, but I am inspired by so many doing it that I thought it would be fun to do it on a bike not well suited to it. Like has been done on 125cc bikes, and 250 Ninja's on the IBR.
Not to belittle anyone's accomplishment, the IBA Saddle Sore is no mean feat, just that I want to be different. Maybe I will do it in-state to add to the fun!
