Best thing about the whole *eat*, was the waitress suggesting to NOT get the brisket because it *sucks*. I LOVE that honesty!

Neely's eh? I leave for Memphis this afternoon. Might give it a try. $40 cab fare a bit much though. Staying downtown, Rendevous and Bluenote Cafe.....both pretty good rib joints, are within walking distance.

Neely's (west) is just a few blockls east of down town and a few blocks north of Beale street.

670 Jefferson Ave
Memphis, TN 38105

If you don't want a cab, the trolly doesn't go by there, but it will get you within walking distance.

Thanks. Got into Memphis late. Just went across the parking lot from the Peabody to Texas de Brazil. Too beat to make any more of the evening than that. Now tonite I'm going to Fogo de Chao in Baltimore. I'm getting "meated" out.

Fogo de Chao was good. I still like Texas de Brazil better. I always find the meats better and their salad bar is leagues better.

Yeah, I find the salad bar at any of the places to be the highlight   They have salad bars in them??

I went to one of these meatatoriums in South Africa, It had more than your standard stateside brazilian joint. crocodile, waterbuck, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, elephant, ostrich, hippo, warthog, hartebeest, buffalo, blesbuck, eland, sable and kudu.

Yeah, yeah I know.......you don't go there for the green stuff......but it is there and one is better. Anyway, no more meat for me for a while.......two "meatatoriums" in one week is enough.

I don't know how you guys do it. We ate in one of those places once and have never considered going back. I can't enjoy eating that much meat -- and barbecue is one of my hobbies!
