Rick,

Any chance you can talk Neil and company into a joining BMWBMW for a club outing of some kind when they are in town for an encore of the Snakes and Arrows tour this summer? They are playing Nissan Pavilion July 19th.

Give it some thought, seriously!

Mike,

The odds are against it. I haven't had much contact with him lately, and I don't know whether he's planning to ride from concert to concert again or not. (I suspect not, given the tour schedule this time.) Stay tuned, but don't get your hopes up.

Bicyclist,

I don't know--he's never mentioned one. Is Darrell from Canada?

No, he was born in Wenatchie, Wash. Lives in Seattle, now. He builds Greene and Greene style furniture. http://www.furnituremaker.com/
Just curious because of the last name.

No problem Rick. I just figured it would be a nice gesture for BMWBMW to offer our company if he wants to spend a couple of hours talking Beemers while in town. Keep us posted if there's any interest.

Brother, I am so glad you sent me that. I was in total awe & jealousy through the entire story. Of course I always have the boys on some sort of music format where ever I go so it made the story all the more inspiring listening to the recent live version of La Villa Stangiato (where Alex goes on a short 3 or 4 minute blabbling session) My brother came home one day with a new album and all I heard through the thin walls for about a week was Tom Sawyer. I asked to borrow the record one day & never gave it back. (It's downstairs stowed away for ever) I have been to every concert since Moving Pictures & have made many a road trip up and down the east coast following them through a tour just to see the differences in Neil's awe inspiring solo's. The boys are going to be back here @ Nissan July 19th. It would be an honor to possibly hook up with you there. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Take care & hope to hear from you again! I just moved to Phoenix, so I'm catching this tour early. Will see them in Albuquerque next Tues. and in Phoenix on Thurs. I hope to come across Neil and Michael at some gas station or diner out here. Riding in AZ is pure heaven.

Rick,

Let's see, if my count is correct, these will be the 4,937th and 4,938th Rush concerts you've been to... Neil told me they'll be changing the songs somewhat from the original Snakes & Arrows tour, but he didn't add any details. Enjoy!

Rick F.

PS--And I'm jealous about your riding opportunities in Arizona--sounds great.

Yeah, with the money I've spent on Rush concerts since about 1988, I'd be able to buy just about any bike I wanted. Tomorrow I'm taking the 993 up to Albuquerque to see Neil and the boys play.

Here are some pics from the two rides this weekend.

That's the outfit I used to work for (back when I worked.) Lemme know if you want me to put in a good word for you.
