Volunteer: Ride Guides

Postby bdimon » Wed Apr 04, 2018 10:23 pm

It's time to sign up to volunteer for the rally. Volunteer to lead a guided ride.

This thread is for ride leaders. We have some routes for you to use or you can use your own. We especially need GS ride leaders. Typically, we lead an easy GS ride, a more challenging GS ride, a ride with gentle sweepers, a ride to the covered bridges, and a ride through challenging twisties.

Reply to this thread with the ride you can help with. If you cannot lead a ride but have ideas, please contribute.

See you at the rally!

GS ride leaders are hard to find. If you enjoyed a GS ride on a previous rally, volunteer to return the favor.

Thanks, David. I'll put you down for one of them.

It's hard to find a leader for the "Intermediate GS" ride. People keep saying that they are not skilled enough or confident enough to lead a challenging ride.

Well, nobody is expecting a "GS Giant" competitor. As long as you do not get lost, people would appreciate following a cautious rider.

For everybody who enjoyed following the Millers in years past, think about how much everybody liked the ride. Everybody who came back from the ride raved about how much fun they had. I would hate to have to cancel it for lack of a ride leader.
