My "go-to" place near WestMar is Shamrock Restaurant on RTE 15 in Thurmont. Huge American flag flown weather-permitting.
Soft shell crabs are in season and their onion ring basket is as good as I've found. Best to skip their salad bar unless you want a reminder of 1973
