Virginia HB 1700 (Auxiliary Lighting)

Postby dcgsrider » Thu Feb 05, 2015 5:11 pm

This is another bill VCOM has been championing. Unfortunately, a major part of it was gutted in a House committee, apparently at the urging of the Virginia State Police. As introduced, it would have allowed colored "marker lights" on motorcycles. As amended, only the "five-second" rule for modulating brake lights would be repealed. The marker light provision was struck. Auxiliary *headlights* are not the issue.
