Some motorcycles have impish personalities. They can sense when they're about to change ownership and react negatively. Such was the case when my friend Tammy put her 2000 K1200LT up for sale recently - as soon as a buyer was found, the ABS hydro unit (one of the more expensive bits, mind you) decided to go belly up.
With only about 10 days before the buyer was due to fly in and ride it home, we contacted George at Beemers Uber Alles. He quickly took the bike in, removed the faulty unit and shipped it out to ModuleMaster, a company in Idaho that specializes in rebuilding ABS modules. ModuleMaster turned the job around inside of a week, with a 5 year warranty on their work & at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.
As soon as George got it back he had the bike ready the next morning. Just in time for the buyer's arrival.
Thanks, George!
