British and European Classic Motorcycle Day

Stop and smell the roses, and while you're at it take a picture or two.

British and European Classic Motorcycle Day

It took place in May :emb: but I only recently remembered that the photos were still on my camera and finally uploaded them to Flickr. Here are a few that didn't turn out too terribly - and my attempts to identify them.

Image
It's a Triumph of some sort. It says "Rickman-Metisse" on it, which I believe makes it very special, but I can't tell you what model it is. Any thoughts?

Ducati 750GT.

Royal Enfield Bullet and sidecar. First time I've seen a covered sidecar.

BMW R60/2.

Image
A 1914 BSA 557H.

Image
This 1914 BSA H had a candle for a headlight. The card notes that it can comfortably do 35 mph but cannot stop very well.

Image
I think this is a Bultaco Frontera. I thought it was gorgeous.

Image
I think this is an MV Agusta 750 America.

Image
This Ducati Monster looks well-traveled.

Image
BMW R80/7. I love the paint job on the sidecar.

A beautiful Ducati 900 SD Darmah.

Hundreds of stunning motorcycles. I hope to return next year.

Blixa,

These are really nice photos. I especially like how you got down low to take many of them, which shows the bikes' profiles much better than the typical higher-up viewpoint.

And the motorcycles themselves are quite interesting! Thanks for posting.

Rick

Rick and John - thanks so much! I appreciate your feedback. The show had a great turnout - lots of eye candy. If you haven't been to it, it's definitely worth checking out.
