MOTO-ST documentary

Postby Elsie Smith » Mon Nov 27, 2006 8:13 pm

Hi All, SPEEDVISION is scheduled to show a one-hour documentary of the Moto-ST Inaugural 8 Hours at Daytona on 12/17 at 3pm. This race featured the BMW team with Nate Kern winning this inaugural event. Good job! Will someone make a recording of it for me? Can you believe, I don't have cable :-) Thanks!

Yeah I'm sure. We have 3 shopping channels though. This is Montgomery county, you know.

Just a reminder that my honey is on Speed Channel this Sunday. I'm recording it on the DVR - maybe we'll have a Race day at the house and watch it.

Here they carry it on Ch. 47. Rick, you're just on the wrong side of one river or another.

I could NOT figure out how Jim got hisself on Speed. Then I finally figured it out.

DOH...

FWIW, I have this set up on TIVO and will download to VHS for anyone who wants it. I don't have the TIVO hooked into a network yet so no digital version.

I finally got around to watching the Speed Channel coverage about a month ago. It's nice to see the event covered at all, but it really wasn't done all that well. The pit stop they showed was just hilarious; most of the teams have dry-break systems costing $2000 and up, but the team they showed was filling the bike from a red plastic gas can. Looked like they ran down to the hardware store at the last minute! It musta taken them a minute at least to fill the tank. And then the narrator misidentified the pole-position BMW as some other team.

That was the one with the older lady holding the fire extinguisher, IIRC...
she was really nervous.

we need to hook ours up to the VCR - is it difficult - do you need any special cables or just regular VCR/TV cables??

It is easy. I just used the normal three wire cables.
