Re: 2013 VOID Room Share?

Postby bdimon » Fri Sep 06, 2013 10:45 pm

I'm registered and looking forward to it. Since I'm cheap, I am interested in sharing a room. I'll check the Yahoo site later but thought I would check with club members first.

I snore a bit but wear an appliance to keep the volume on low. Snoring does not bother me; I slept well in the Square Root Rally bunkhouse.

Who signed up for the 24 hour rally?

Do most people go home after the banquet or do they stay overnight and socialize the next day?

My Wife and I are signed up as a 2-up for the 10 hour.
My Son is signed up for the 10 hour.
We are leaving to come back home after the banquet.

I'm looking forward to this!

Good luck!

I might see you at scoring...this will be my first time at the "other" side of the table. Please don't hold this against me.

The 2013 Void Rally made quite a splash! Congratulations to Marty Cover, Armaan Mehta, and Matt and Chetna Corrigan for sweeping first, second and third in the ten-hour rally! Next year, I'll ask them for help planning my route. :D

It was only my second LD Rally and I had a lot of fun. Next year, I'll do better. I have so much to learn from all my mistakes that I should be a genius by this time next year.

Yes Lisa and Molly would have bumped us out of the winners circle if their camera had not changed the resolution on them.
It was a great ride and Marty ran the route I had planned but i chopped points when I didn't meet my planned time hacks.

It should be mentioned that Armaan is only 17! He ran a great ride.

We chose the DC route because our alternate route had us going out and comming back on 95 between Richmond and Fredericksburg. I've been too badly stuck on that road to take the risk with the trucker strike in play. DC was home turf but there was the veteran protest going on and many of the streets were Blocked I spent 40 minutes longer than expected. Concidering the point I needed to take a photo of was the building I work in.

The amount of time I spent planning was directly related to being furloughed. It is always fun and a many thanks go out to Tina for mentoring me into the sport.
