They plan a whole entertainment complex there, including the possibility of a drive-in theater. I'm looking forward to working with them to host track days

Umm....there already is? There is Family Drive In not 5 miles from my house here in Stephens City. I would call that striking distance from DC. And there's one in Northeast Baltimore as well but I try to stay away from that place

One thing in the article caught my eye though - 324 houses on the 40 acre lot that was Manassas Old Dominion Speedway ... that's a 0.12 acre lot per house (5200 square feet). That's gotta be townhouses.

Posted: Sat Nov 02, 2013 1:17 pmToday marks the official groundbreaking ceremony and open house for the new Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania, Virginia, just ten miles from Morton's BMW. We've been working with the owners since the project was announced, and we plan to have track days on the road course once it's up and running. Jeff Massey attended the festivities today, and he's pictured below with Steve Britt, owner of the raceway.
