if you guys have a winning route I should have picked Savannah rather than Johnson City as a start. then i could have followed you around :D

I am currently in the EconoLodge/Greentree on Saturday night, but they only had smoking rooms when I booked. Same story this morning when I checked for openings in non smoking.
I plan to jump over to the Days Inn. Anyone want to share a room over there?

Well, this was one incredible rally!!! For all that participated this weekend - GREAT JOB in finishing!!! =D> =D> =D> The TN starters woke up to tornado sirens going off (that pretty much freaked me out!) Then we took off and that was one wild ride!! NY and FL riders ended up riding IN TO that crazy mess. No matter where you started, you ended up riding through some crazy weather!! We either rode through towns where the tornado sirens were going off, or flooded roads, or heavy rains, or more - it was just awful! By the time we all arrived in Wilmington, NC, it had stopped raining and the wind/gusts were absolutely horrible!!! This is one rally that I don't think anyone will forget!

We had several club members participate and I'm sorry, I can't remember everyone that placed but I'll try to list the ones I remember....

Ms. Kitty - 2nd place (NY starters)
Don Catterton - 5th? (FL starter)
Bob Stransky - 6th? (TN starters
Chaz Fisher - 10th (TN starter)

I placed 18th (TN starters).

This was my first 28hr rally and despite the weather, I had a BLAST!!! I love this rally!

Congrats to everyone that rode the rally!
BECAUSE I CAN!!!

Here's one that I took along the way - just after the ferry ride and the high speed run to visit the "surprise guest".

By the way, I finished 9th, not 6th (that was last year)...

If anyone is interested, I have posted my photos from the CF1K here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bstransky/sets/72157626534797444/

Tina, Chaz and Bob H. are included among the victims. Some of the photos are not so great, but what do you expect during a rally? I didn't bother to post the really bad ones, although they may be useful for blackmail in the future...
