CONGRATS NANCY!!!!! You ROCK!!!

I looked for the list and I don't see it. We all finished and we all had a great ride! I placed 4th, barely missing 3rd in the 10hr. I'll place the blame on my lack of time to prepare - I didn't start planning the 10hr until Wednesday night - but that's my fault.

Blake did his first 24hour and finished!! =D>

Tim always gives me a run for my money! But not sure where he finished this time.

Marty Cover was there in the 10 hour - Funny guy!! I'm sure he had fun!

NVRider (Allen) rode in the 24 hour and I believe had a good ride.

Mark Sigley placed 5th in the 10hr. (hee hee - I beat Mark - BARELY!)

David Holt - No show??? What happened Dave???

Oh it's just so much fun and we always have a GREAT time!!!

Congrats to ALLLLL the BMWBMW members that rode in the rally - you guys are GREAT!!!

Don didn't finish... He started in Reading with me and hit really bad traffic (so did I by the way) and wound up just going home after his plan had fallen apart. I don't know who NVrider is, but I know Marty Cover was there and maybe it's him???

I had a good time and learned a few new things as well. :D

Same here... learned that you should really re-check the time on your camera after your first bonus but before you leave it. Mountain Time, JEEZ!

Well, my "at a minimum" was surpassed.

I started in Lexington. Did not do a route plan until I got to Lexington Thursday PM. Checked said route Friday am. All wrong. Quick new route, no problem...

Trust the GPS or intuition? The GPS is only as good as the info going into it and gosh knows, I am no Zumo expert. So, I end up way off course at some point. No problem, I'll just pull out the laptop and reload the route. Laptop crashes for the first time ever. Nice timing! Ok, still got the first route loaded in the Zumo. Called it up, rearranged it a bit, set out again.

I finished, not last, that was my entire plan going in. This one was a trial.

Really cool to see some other rider at 1am at some random spot in small town WV, then a different one at the next stop and so on. You could go 4 or 5 hours without seeing someone at a spot, then the next 4 spots see or pass someone.

All-in-all, very cool!

I learned a bunch too, so lookout on the next one, 'cause I'll be ready!

All,

Unlike some of you awesome riders, I only finished 6th out of the Reading starters. I totally botched my strategy - instead of just looking for max points, I kept searching for a meaningful route that would connect the dots. That obviously wasn't the right approach, so I wound up slogging out a bunch of small point boni instead of going big.

Oh well, at least I didn't finish last.

you would have had the pleasure of seeing me sans front tooth as well  That's why I'm hiding behind Tina. Scott kept trying to make me laugh for the picture and I didn't want to!

No, no, no, it's just that our little Kitty is becoming such a big girl. The permanent tooth will grow in any day now!

Something like that, Gene. Really. The tooth will be permanent again next Thursday.

So, I was watching Mikey's puppy. A 70 pound German Shepard puppy, that is. We don't call her the white tornado for nothing. She jumped up and banged her big, hard head into my tooth. I felt it wiggling a little, but didn't think too much of it. Until about 90 minutes before the start of the rally when it fell out. Nice. (I should mention that it's an implant). So now I have a blue fang where a tooth should be. Right up front (#9 for those who know these things). I kept the tooth in all day, it mostly held its position. But when I went to sleep, I took it out for safe keeping in case I were to swallow it or otherwise lose it as I slept. couldn't get it back in when I woke up. I just said screw it and rode the rest of the rally sans tooth. I suspected that the gum tissue grew back because I could get it in, but not the last couple mm.

Everyone kept telling me there was NO WAY that the gum tissue grew back in a few hours, but that's exactly what happened. My regular dentist was on vacation, so I called the surgeon who did the implant and he got me in Monday afternoon. It was awful. He had to cut the gum tissue away to get the tooth back in. But since he's the surgeon and doesn't permanently install teeth, he didn't even have the permanent cement needed. So I have temporary cement, that is holding just fine, until next Thursday.

Getting numbed up there is no fun. Nor is it fun when the feeling comes back after that. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it was pretty sore for a couple days.

So there you have it. My tale of being toothless yet again.

You should have Halliburton do the cementing on it.
