N8! Racing at VIR This Weekend

Just a reminder, Nate Kern will be racing at Virginia International Raceway this weekend (June 20-21). Morton's BMW will be there to support him, and the new S 1000 RR will be on display there as well. We'll have brochures (whatever is left after our S 1000 RR event this Thursday night) and we'll be answering questions. Oh, yeah, and accepting deposits

On Monday, June 22, Nate will also be working with Team ProMotion for a track day at VIR. He'll be riding the S 1000 RR on the track, and will be available to talk about it in addition to helping you with your riding skills. We've arranged discount track day admission -- just $189, including the beginner school for first timers -- for our customers. Give Stuart a call in our service department to book a spot.

Everyone come on down to support our racers & Morton's , I will hang the BMWBMW sign so that you will be able to find Nate easier in the garage area. Come on, VIR has some of the nicest camping areas & don't forget the great hotel on the track. It's a easy ride down 29.

A brief update on how the weekend went at VIR. In a word, excellent!

Nate got a huge win Saturday in ThunderBike on the white Morton's BMW R1200S, with Steve Kennedy coming in second on Nate's backup black R1200S. This was the first time Steve had raced on the R1200S, so it was even more impressive a ride.

On Sunday, Nate rode his black R1200S to another win in the 69-lap endurance race. Even more amazing was that he did the race SOLO -- unlike most teams, he had no replacement rider. He rode the entire two hour race in the hot sun by himself!

After that, he took out the HP2 Sport in SuperTwins and had another impressive victory, running away from the entire field and lapping many in the seven lap sprint.

Great job by two very talented riders, and many thanks to all who came to the track, cheered the guys on, and helped ua all out! I'll have some photos up on our website in a day or two.
