MARYLAND BREAKFAST RIDE IS BACK!

Postby eap » Tue Jan 05, 2021 4:47 pm

After much consideration and deliberation, the Md location is..... Free Range Cafe, 520 Northern Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742 (by Richard Mead) https://www.freerangecafe.com/ and our first test RTE will be the 3rd Saturday in April - I.E. April 17, 2021 Menus open at 9AM Kickstands up at 10AM-ish.

For those wishing an alternative beautiful all day ride steeped in history see the Presidents Ride at https://www.bmwbmw.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23095

Well we haven't had a Maryland location since the Old Town Cafe in Myersville Closed over a year ago. I hear it may now be open again as the Boondock - anyone checked it out yet?

We need another place - post some suggestions here and we can round a few good riders to check 'em out:
- Boondock Cafe and Diner, 307 Main St Myersville, MD 21773 https://www.facebook.com/boondockcafediner
- Watershed Cafe, Bikes and Breakfast MD, Poolesville, MD https://www.facebook.com/Bikes-and-Breakfast-Maryland-313139209151850 and https://www.cafewatershed.com/
Adding:
-Bonnies at the Red Byrd, 19409 Shepherdstown Pike, Keedysville, MD http://www.bonniesattheredbyrd.com/
-Clear Spring Diner, 11855 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD 21722 [url]https://www.facebook.com/clearspringcountrydiner/[/, ]
- Mountain Gate Family Restaurant, 133 Frederick Road Thurmont, MD 21788 http://mountaingatefamilyrestaurant.com/
- The Music Cafe" , 26528-B, Ridge Rd, Damascus, MD 20872,https://www.musiccafedamascus.com/
- Bollinger's Restaurant in Thurmont http://bollingersrestaurant.com/
-Beans in the Belfry, Brunswick http://www.beansinthebelfry.com/
-Old Towne Resturant, Woodsboro, MD https://www.frederick.com/the_old_towne_restaurant-sp-5182
- Free Range Cafe, 520 Northern Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742 (by Richard Meade) https://www.freerangecafe.com/

Help me out here!

We'd like to make this a semi-permanent location for either Saturday or Sunday rides. For now, we would like a place that offers outside dining.

What about Beans in the Belfry. http://www.beansinthebelfry.com/

Beans in the Belfry is a great place and think it'll be better once the pandemic allows for inside dining. Right now, I wanted to focus on places that have outdoor dining and plenty of space.

Stay safe,

I love Beans in the Belfry for coffee, pie, pastries, and cake. It's not a bacon & eggs place though.

I would highly recommend Bollinger's Restaurant in Thurmont as a Breakfast Ride location, they also catered our last rally!

Great idea. We can excuse excessive calorie consumption in the name of research. :feedme:
