Looks like it's going to be a nice day to ride to Old Town Diner for breakfast. 10am.

It was a good morning: we got to admire the s1000xr that Tim won in the BMW MOA Foundation Superstakes (way to go, Tim!), then test our off-road skills on washboard, rock-strewn Dahlgren Road. Mine being minimal at best, I was pleased to keep my pride and r1200rs intact =D>

...and thanks for leading the ride. I would have never been able to do the twisties as fast without observing your lines. The XR is a blast! I had to take off on the beltway because I needed to get home to run the boss to a hair appointment.

Sorry about the Left turn onto Dahlgren. I intended to continue Right up the Baptist Retreat facility. I hadn't been on Dahlgren in a few years -- it's gotten pretty rough over that time.

I'm glad you enjoyed the roads.
Interestingly, I feel more comfortable when I don't have anyone in front of me - better able to concentrate on the road. When I'm in the rear and in the twisties, I intentionally fall far enough behind that I can't see the rider in front of me at all.

I feel much more confident when I can see the road up ahead--blind turns that I'm unfamiliar with spook me a bit. It's just nice to have some experienced riders to learn from--I've been doing most of my riding alone.

No problem, I was happy to get some practice on a gnarly gravel road.
