MD Breakfast RTE 2/16

Postby Maria V » Tue Feb 11, 2014 9:48 am

As discussed in another thread, we're exploring some other options to The Cozy in Thurmont. Adam(Aether), Ed (eap) and moi tossed out some banter about places, but we're waiting on a pick for Sunday the 16th. Stand by for more info!

MORE INFO: We'll see what our storm brings, and subsequent clean up.

Maryland might still be closed Sunday... based on the developing snow forecasts. ;)

Cheers,

Yeah, my suggestion is:

Nautilus Diner
1709 Transportation Blvd.
Crofton, MD 21114

http://www.thenautilusdiner.com

However, with a foot or so of the white death from above coming and the crappy job AACo does with the roads around here, we might want to bag it until next go round....

I'm up for nautilus. It's in my neck of the woods anyway. Plus we can stop by Wegmans on the way home for bread, milk, and TP.

Crofton would even be do-able from VA :)

May be much less compelling for a ride from VA than Thurmont.

OK, let's go with Nautilus and see if we luck out for weather/storm cleanup.
I'd likely have to drive anyway - we still have icy spots from the 7" on 2/3.

We could do that as well. Just down the road from us and like Jim, we can make a Wegmans stop out of it.

The Cozy is only 11 miles further from my house than the Nautilus, but for some reason riding to Thurmont feels like a commitment, whereas popping over to Crofton feels more like ... popping over to Crofton. Weird, I guess.

Breakfast.

I was thinking 7 am.

I mean, who's not up at 7 am on a Sunday?

Note the absence of responses to that one....

10am start time, consistent with Cozy breakfast? I won't be riding due to roads out here, but Andi plans to join me.
See ya'all tomorrow morning.

Given that this is less than 2 miles from my house, I plan to be there... at 10am.

Cheers,
Jim
