I plan to go, Temps should be > 40F by 10am - otherwise, winds <10 mph and partly cloudy - should be good riding.

Anyone else?

Christine and I rode over two up this morning. Ran into Tim on his red GTL. The three of us had a nice breakfast, chat, thawed out for a bit and headed home. Maybe we will see more folks next time...stay warm out there kids!

It was nice to have some company for breakfast--was kind of worried when I got there. We even got some snow globe action out of the window for about five minutes. Two K16s representing in the parking lot (no GSAs?). The weather finally got 'cozy' by the time I got home.

Good on you guys, =D>

Since nobody responded, I lost my motivation #-o , plus couldn't find my extension plug for my heated jacket :emb:

Spent the balance of the day piddling with the new GS - found the extension plug and will head out to Sharpsburg area soon.

Take care.

I wonder about researching a new site for the MD breakfasts. The Cozy seems tired and worn, not sure how everyone else feels about it. We've lost some regulars, and I wonder if a venue change is in order.

Thoughts?

Do you have a place in mind?

I am open to other places but have no complaints with the Cozy. The riding area is good for after breakfast rides. The Cozy has lots of room, decent biscuits and gravy and the bacon is piled high...

I like the Thurmont Kountry Kitchen but have only been there for lunch not for breakfast . They have a great, I mean GREAT gravy and mushroom hamburger! They are kinda small but I saw a sign that said they have a 'party' room out around back.

Another place I like, again, I have only been there for lunch is Bonnie's at the Red Bird Cafe in Keetysville. Very good Keetysville Hamburger Platter (Coles slaw and onion crispies on a cheeseburger with krinkled french fries on the side). Also a good riding area.

Maybe Boonesboro or Westminister?

There's good mountain riding near Brunswick. And a wonderful cafe in town called Beans in the Belfry (a "decommissioned" church). Food is exceptional, but (as you would expect) prices are higher than the Cozy. An idea. Scott

I always remember how George Falcon loved the place. Jody and I have avoided it for several years.

I brought this up a few years ago, but didn't get many nibbles (no pun intended) at the time, but how about something in the AA County area - like the Nautilus Diner in Crofton?

Cozy was just far enough away to be a nice morning ride. The food was ok, and the price was more than reasonable. That said, we seemed to be in their way with our jackets and helmets last week and there were only 3 of us. I don't have any alternate suggestions off the top of my head, but having now experienced The Cozy, I'd be open to a search...

I would be open to a new location... or even a revolving one.

I did stir the pot didn't I?

I like the idea of Aether/Adam picking a place, then you - ED! Then I'll take a turn. I do like the riding area of the cozy as well, but maybe we'll find something else we like better!

Stopped by today: nice cuppa 'Italian wedding soup', BLT and water for $10. Pretty neat old historic church, baristas and fancy coffees and lotsa pies and cakes . They have coffee shoppe type breakfast sandwiches/paninis. The bacon was thick country cut... [-o< Bluegrass on 1st, 2nd and 4th Thursdays 7pm.
