So, lets get the RTE season up nawth rolling... BBQ? German? Mexican? Lets hear it!!

Too late for May, but lets look to June!! the 17th would be the date.

How ' bout Ride to Crabs. This is Maryland. Couple places I know: Scooters @ Rt 1 & 175 in Jessup, Jimmy Cantlers in St Margaret's (Annapolis), Ocean Pride on York Rd in Luthervile. They're all reasonably located for our Maryland contingent.

So I had another thought...anyone care enough for pool (billiards) to copy the VA idea? I don't mind posting it, but know of few places for a reputable game o'pool.
Only place that comes to mind is Rams Head in Savage.

Messy steamed crab hands, pool cues or bowling balls do not go well together :)

We had mexican at the previous, before last rte. Did the last rte even count as an rte?

How about an RTD (Ride to Darts) at the Ram's Head Roadhouse in Crownsville. Nice ride out on the scenic backroads along General's Highway.

There's a pool hall on 40 in Ellicott City - in the Toys R Us shopping center. Mike said there was one on his side of town as well, but Ellicott City might be a little more centrally located.

There's a few eateries near there too. Bones is a brewpub with decent food - just a few miles down 40. There's old Ellicott City too with the brew pub there or La Palapa.

Just offering up places, I probably won't make it cause ya'll stay out too late for this old lady. :)

Ride to BBQ??!! Emmittsburg... Chubby's on Rt15. At the exit for Seton Rd.

Chaz and I stopped there for a late lunch today after picking up our carload of camping gear from WestMar. YUMMY!! 1/2 lb Pulled pork platter, with two sides $10.99. Corn bread that was disintigratingly tender and tasty, southern style green beans (with bits of pork), HOT from the fryer onion rings and fries...

The stated hours are until 8pm, but we're generally all done eating by then, and starting to head home. Should be cleared out by 8:30 - 9 at the very latest, right?

Need to retract this statement. Mike and I pulled into this shopping plaza on our way to WestMar on Thursday to get a rear door properly closed and I looked for the pool hall. It has sadly closed.

Back to your RTE planing...

There are a few pool halls here in the Gaithersburg area. One is by the airpark off of Snouffer School Rd., not far (5 min) from Battley's. I have never been there, but pass it every day. Another one is towards Germantown at Hard Times Cafe (Great chili). On Sundays, you buy $8 of food, you get free billiards play. Something to think about.
