Free Insurance

Postby MEH » Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:50 pm

I called Dairlyand (a.k.a. Sentry) for an insurance quote last week. They were about $70 more per year than progressive--who I currently have. So of course I decided to stay progressive.

However, I got my mail yesterday and just for requesting a quote from Dairyland they give me a two year premium paid $3000 accidental death insurance policy! Not bad for free and now I am pretty sure I am worth more dead than alive! This extra money will buy some farkle for the casket--perhaps some aptly named Hella lights 8)

I just switched to Dairyland from Progressive. My insurance went from $1200 with progressive to $700 with dairyland. That's for two bikes.

I'm not sure? I get my insurance thru Tiana at Bob's.

Just Google them, and call them, I've done everything on the phone with them.

I hate sales on the phone. They always push to seel too much, and I can't visualize figures without seeing them, and usually end up with too little or too much, and rarely what I want.

In person, or online for me.

Jim,

Here you go:

http://www.sentry.com/CP/Default.aspx

I also have Dairyland and they have been great so far with my deer accident. They are very prompt in returning my calls and were very quick to get me my check.

Thanks!

Unfortunately they don't do online quotes, nor do they have any local VA agents. They require phone contact.

Jim,
They were not pushy at all with me on the phone. They asked how their quote compared to others and wished me well. No pressure at all...
(BTW: I pay about 265 a year with progressive and Dairlyland came in at 340 a year--both inlcuded low deductible, comp and collision, and a few K for extra gear coverage).

Wow! I have been shopping for insurance since my current policy won't transfer to Virginia. Drive (current provider) quoted $700, Allstate (current auto provider) $500, and Sentry $300. Thanks to you people I can renew my BMWBMW membership for the next 10 years!

When I needed to update my Dairyland policy a few weeks ago I learned that Bob's is no longer and Agent since Tiena left. I had to search for a new agent and have my policy transferred to them before I could make a change. Kind of a pain when you need to make a change quickly. You should consider finding a new agent now and transferring your policy.
