South American Trip

Postby Yellowjacket » Sat Dec 20, 2008 10:49 pm

Got this from a BMWMOA buddy in Michigan.

<<<Sorry I won’t be seeing you and the DC crowd this year at the MIS. I want to let you know I'm going to embark on another epic motorcycle ride. This time I'm riding the other way, south, to where the road ends at the bottom of the western hemisphere in South America. I'll be leaving Michigan right after Christmas and plan to take about 3 months to do the trip. A friend is joining me so that will be an interesting twist. This time I'm going to try and keep up a blog. If you want to follow along here is a link to the blog: http://www.patagonia-bound.blogspot.com Below is a picture of the road in Peru leading to the Machu Picchu ruins. I can't wait to get underway. He did say ride to Patagonia. Not the clothing line either. I hope he has heated gear and a few spare tires. :D
