BTW his 'secret' is not much of a secret. THE secret is to start a foot or two in, swing out to start your turn at the very edge, and then you are in full turn mode from the very beginning, rather than easing into the turn and burning up valuable real estate as you get set up. It's less of a concern for people who are used to snapping right into the U-turn, but most people don't do that.
