whoa!! amazing!! Ill Mee is a giant buffet... half of it is prepared food, while half of it is raw meats. At your table, there is a hot grill. You can tend to the meat yourself, or let one of the waitresses take care of the process. It's a unique eating experience - one that I found to be fun and delicious. I wish I had pictures! It's about $20/person with soft drinks, but it is certainly worth it, especially for a group.

P.S. the sushi ain't bad for being korean.

Sounds kinda like a place I used to go to where the chef prepared everything at your table and entertained you at the same time as he cut stuff up and would flip it in the air and juggle the containers of oils and sauces. they had one in Bethsada and upper NW DC. don't know what happened to them, could still be around. It too was an orential eatery.

Benihana? You're thinking of hibachi steakhouses... they're Japanese. Similar, but more for the show.

Save room before going to a Il Mee or alike. It is definitely a contest in stuffing oneself silly. Lots of choices.

Don't ask, don't tell. Take a high res picture post it on the Tech section and I will try to help identify the item.

BTW I have not found anything too challenging at Il Mee. Squid and octopus ain't bad for you. The alcohol in the beer will sanitize it all! If that is not strong enough, get some Korean rice spirit. Same effect as carb cleaner.
