Italian Food

Enotria in Forest Hill, MD is one of the best Italian restaurants in Northern Harford County. Located just North of the MD 24, MD 23 intersection. Great food, good service, fair prices, and plenty of seating so you seldom have a wait. www.r-ai.com/enotria.htm

Nido's in Leesburg, VA. I judge Italian restaurants by taking a good sniff when I go in. Nido's smell is heavenly.

It's well hidden. I found it by wandering around Tuscy's.

Tiziano on Rt 234 in Dumfires.

Less than a mile West of I-95 at exit #152. It's a small white building up on a hill, that kind of looks like a strip club due to a lack of windows in the front, but I assure you it's not. The food and service are great and the prices are very reasonable, less than $20 a plate.

Not far from there are two loops I used to ride when I lived in the neighborhood. 1 loop is Bristow Rd and Aden Rd between 234 and 28; the other is Joplin Rd and back up on Rt 1.

OK, so it is out of the way, but worth it.

Villa di Roma in Philly: 936 S 9th St, in the Italian market section. They've spiffed up the place, but the decor is basic. You're here for the food anyways. And you still need cash, no credit. Rumored to be mob owned, which makes it necessary to sit facing the door. Terrific food, old school waitresses, and worth the trip.

If you find yourself wandering around near Gettysburg, PA and want good authentic Italian, check out Gina's Place. It's actually in Bonneauville, PA (small crossroads village about five miles southeast of G-burg). It doesn't look like much, a bit pricey, but they serve delicious entrees.
