German Restaurants and specialty shops

Postby MrE » Fri Feb 16, 2007 11:40 am

Wanted to start a list. There are several decent German Restaurants in our region. Also shops that sell old world goodies.

post them here.

Old Stein Inn in Mayo is OK, however, I prefer my sister-in-law's kitchen in Bavaria, or for that matter my own kitchen. :D

Stay far, far away from the Bavarian Inn. It's horrifyingly bad and over priced.

It isn't THAT bad for those of us who weren't raised on German food. Sure there is better, more authentic German food, but I think it is pretty good food and sure beats the crap out of TGIFridays.

Old World Deli In Randallstown. On rt. 26 Liberty Road, just East of the Marriottsville road traffic light in the shopping center. All European stuff, German, Hungarian, Scandinavian, Russian, Polish, you name it. About half the prices than Dean & DeLucca in Georgetown. I visit once a week.
