Talk of the Town, Lovettsville, VA

Postby eap » Sun Sep 05, 2010 8:48 pm

I've ridden by this place many times but only stopped today - nice little place with new owners (trained chefs) and a simple but elegant menu - I had the 6hr slow cooked pork shoulder pulled BBQ sandwich with a sauce having a delicious kick served with bit of burnt tip on homemade white bread, kettle chips and coleslaw - all made in house ($10.80 with coffee). It be great to meet some TVR riders up north here at this place sometime (http://maps.google.com/maps?um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=talk+of+the+town+lovettsville+va&fb=1&gl=us&hq=talk+of+the+town&hnear=Lovettsville,+VA&cid=0,0,14720810588873737195&ei=tDmETIs1gfuXB6KDiKoO&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBMQnwIwAA).

Maybe this isn't something new, but it was new to me: a BBQ Sundae.
Corn bread with a pile of BBQ topped with coleslaw, garnished with a fried pickle.

Hard to believe I got this from a gas station, sorta.
