Crab Cakes-

Forum to post good places to eat

My vote for the best goes to The Bowman Restaurant on Harford road in Parkville, MD. The most disappointing Crab Cake was the Rusty Scupper in the Inner Harbor.

RT 29 between Gainesville and Warrenton in Virginia,

"Blue Ridge Seafood".

It looks like a hole in the wall place, but it started out small decades ago and they added on and added on. It is usually crowded on weekends, but worth the wait.

G & M Crabcakes - Nursery Rd and I-695.

If anyone else has crab cake suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I've had the crabcakes at Timbutu's, but IMO they have just too much filling--very large but lots of bread/egg filling. I will try G & Ms when I'm in the area. I have had Stoney's crabcakes down in Prince Frederick--I thought they were very very good! Just my humble opinion. :)

I would only add one thing to your evaluation of the crappy crabcakes at Timbuktu.Image

Have you tried the cakes at Timbuktu? Wired Cur had them again recently. His opinion might be changed...

Not impressed. I recently had G&Ms, which IMHO were better than Timbuktus. I think that was because I had a steak along with the crabcake and the juices were mingling. Those bites were pretty good but the crabcake by itself, I could pass.

I'm still voting for Friendly Farms (I know they don't distinguish lunch from dinner as far as prices).

Stoney's on Broome's Island (southern Calvert County MD). Don't bother with the one in Prince Frederick.

I had a crabcake sandwich at a place called"Inn 94"on rt 94 just north of Hanover Pa and it was quite tasty.

I recommend the place in general...everyone at my table enjoyed their food (seafood and steaks)[/url]
